Fernanda Pereira da Cruz has been teaching Italian language and culture in Porto Alegre since 1998.

She is the author of “Grammatica italiana a portata di mano” (Volumes 1 and 2) and the course “Italiano a portata di mano”. She holds the CEDILS certificate (Certificazione in Didattica dell’Italiano a Stranieri) from the Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, achieving a score of 86 out of 100 (with distinction), as well as the CILS 4 (Mastery) certification from the Università per Stranieri di Siena. She has taught numerous teacher training courses and conversation courses focused on contemporary Italian literature and culture. She has been leading conversation groups for over 20 years.
In 2002, she attended the “Corso Regolare di Lingua e Cultura Italiana – 5º Grado (Livello Superiore)” at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia and completed additional professional development courses at schools such as Torre di Babele in Rome and Campus Magnolie in Castelraimondo. Since 2010, she has regularly participated in the ABPI Congresses (Associação Brasileira de Professores de Italiano).
Currently, she teaches exclusively at her own school, “Italia a portata di mano”, where, in addition to her regular classes, she organizes events related to Italian language and culture together with fellow teachers.

In 1994, during her first visit to Italy, she studied at the Eurocentro in Florence and fell so deeply in love with the Italian language and culture that she decided never to stop studying them or dedicating herself to their teaching and promotion. Since then, she has returned to Italy many times, both to study and to travel and reconnect with the friends she made there.
